 Lesya Vinas is the IRS Enrolled Agent with over 20 years of experience in taxation of individuals and businesses. Enrolled agent is the highest credential the IRS awards and allows her to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service. Enrolled Agent status is the only federally-licensed certification which grants practitioners unlimited rights to advocate for taxpayers to the IRS directly. Enrolled Agents have no restrictions on which taxpayers they can represent, the tax matters they can handle, and which IRS offices they can represent clients before. That means they are not limited to practicing in states from which they have received a license; they can practice anywhere in the United States. Enrolled agents advise, represent and prepare tax returns of individuals, partnerships, corporations, estates, trusts and any other entity with tax reporting requirements. In addition to the stringent testing and application process, the IRS requires Enrolled Agents to complete 72 hours of continuing education every three years to maintain their licenses.

Lesya graduated from Sam Houston State University in 2004 where she obtained a Bachelor's of Business Administration in  Accounting. While at school, she was an active member of Beta Alpha Psi (the National Honors Fraternity for Financial Information Professionals) and student member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.  

After graduation, Lesya gained her tax  experience with PricewaterhouseCoopers, one of  world's largest  and prestigious CPA Firm (big four)  as well as smaller local CPA firms.  After working for over nine years in public accounting sector, she opened her own company: Vinas Tax Consulting, LLC where she serves individuals and businesses from different states, as well as US expats, working and living overseas. She is current member of many professional organizations among CPAs and accounting professionals. 

Lesya speaks fluent English, Russian and Ukrainian. Her hobbies include spending her free time with her husband and their three children, skiing, travel, hiking and cooking.
